Welcome to Room 4 !

I am so excited to be your new teacher. Second grade is the best- I can't wait to show you why !

I have been a Upper Moreland teacher since 2003 and have watched my first group of students find their way to college. Watching them graduate was one of the most exciting moments of my career. I cannot wait to come see all of you in 2026! I have my Masters in Special Education , a writing certificate from West Chester and am 3 classes away from my next Masters in Educational Leadership. See, teachers NEVER stop going to school :)

I have four small children who keep me super busy at home. Addyson, my oldest, will also be a second grader this year. My son Ryan will be entering Kindergarten and is excited to meet new friends and learn how to read.  But here's another fun fact.... I had TWINS last June. Connor and Curran just turned one and are my inspirational superheroes every day. I will tell you all about my plan to pay-it-forward this year.

In the summer, we like to visit the beach and our other favorite place on earth... Disney World. I think my favorite thing to do there is watch the fireworks. I love to eat boardwalk pizza and put my toes in the sand. My favorite subject is writing and I LOVE reading books written by my students.

Do you know my best friend? She also teaches second grade. I have known her since I was in the first grade. I guess you will have to ask me on the first day to find out who she is. Here is a hint: A LOT of people think we look alike.

Our year will be filled with lots of learning, new friends and fun memories. Looking forward to meeting you in August !
